Inaugural Civil Society Lecture

 

On Monday, September 24th, 2001, at the University of Maryland's Inaugural Civil Society Lecture, Benjamin R. Barber — author of the international bestseller, Jihad vs. McWorld: How Globalism and Tribalism are Reshaping the World — shared his timely perspective following the tragic events of September 11th.

Mr. Barber is the Gershon and Carol Kekst Professor of Civil Society and the University System of Maryland Wilson H. Elkins Professor. He is also among the leadership of The Democracy Collaborative.
