The Collaborative’s scholars are producing a conceptual road map for democratic citizenship development and civic engagement.

The Democratic Audit

The Democracy Collaborative, in collaboration with the Center for the Study of Voluntary Organizations and Service at Georgetown University, is preparing to conduct a long-term study of changing attitudes and patterns of citizenship and governance, not only at the national level, but in a range of different types of communities.

Democracy, Diversity, and Voice Project

Scholars affiliated with The Collaborative, working with members of the Committee on the Political Economy of the Good Society (PEGS), are exploring viable alternatives to a "good society" beyond options offered by socialism, industrial capitalism, and the traditional welfare state.
